This page is meant to help you understand why Red River Fence, LLC is the highest-rated fence company in the Oklahoma City area and to understand your choices while researching your new fence. Please keep in mind, nothing will change as far as the installation and customer service go; you will always get a quality installation from Red River Fence.
We are the only fence company in Oklahoma that provides this level of quality material with Red River Fence’s installation techniques.
There will be a string line on every fence line; a level on every post, and an eye for quality and aesthetics on every installation. Because we will not compromise on structural quality, every wood privacy fence that Red River Fence installs will automatically come with commercial galvanized 9’steel posts installed 42” in the ground, 2x4 cedar rails, and true 7/8” thick cedar fence pickets.
No one compares. No company offers the quality materials or customer service before, during, or after your installation that we do.
1x4, 1x6, and 1x8, Inland Cedar Pickets | True 7/8” Thickness
(Don’t be fooled by the so-called Japanese Cedar being peddled by all the other fence companies, the only thing true about this product is it comes from Japan. It is 1/2” thick and is not cedar. We tried this low-quality product a few years ago and promise you it is very substandard, to say the least. This is one of the main reasons we made the decision to switch to a true 7/8” thick high-quality cedar picket.
Our fence pickets come from lumber mills in Canada and the USA (not from overseas)
Our boards are almost a full inch thick. This thickness provides durability and longevity and also reduces warping to almost nonexistence. Thinner fence pickets tend to warp and/or split once they are in the sun.
Our pickets are fastened to Selkirk Cedar s4s 2x4 rails with 2” galvanized ring shank nails and the panels are attached to the posts with 3 Simpson Brackets and 1 1/2” x 1/4” lag bolts…. again; our steel posts are commercial grade and Made in the USA!
Over the years fencing material has become extremely poor quality. Fence pickets have become extremely thin, most 7/16” - 1/2” thick causing major problems after installation; warping, splitting, and shrinking to name a few. Steel fence posts became extremely thin as well causing fence sections to bend or lean over in windy conditions. We at Red River Fence made the decision 10 years ago to only offer our customers the highest quality materials available to eliminate these ongoing problems.
Fencing around your home or business is an expensive undertaking. Cheap is cheap for a reason. We feel if you are going to invest in a fence, it should not be an expense you must budget for every 4-5 years. Our goal is to educate our customers on the various options available to them. You will definitely spend more money with Red River Fence upfront, however, you will also be getting the very best materials and installation experience available for your project.
